Driving Strategic Innovation

Innovation is the key to an organizationês competitive edge. To drive continuous performance improvements, an organizationês performance management system must measure and provide incentives for innovation at all levels. This is accomplished first and foremost by moving from activity and output measures to strategy and outcome measuresãproviding line managers and employees flexibility for innovative solutions development. Innovation must also be measuredãparticularly in new product development and R & D functions. • Establishing rewards, training, and support processes that operate culture consistently
• Providing valid data to empower employees to make timely decisions
